About Jonny Pietrunti
Clinic Director, Massage Therapist, Blogger, athlete – LEADER.
Jonny has been involved in the world of fitness and nutrition since receiving his first set of free-weights at the age of 14. An avid reader and natural researcher, he began immediately training and tinkering with numerous variables, particularly diet. These efforts quickly transformed him from a chubby youngster to a lean distance runner, providing the catalyst to fuel a passion that has spanned nearly two decades.
Jonny then enlisted in the United States Navy. His knowledge of exercise and nutrition was quickly noticed, resulting in his nomination as a Command Fitness Leader (CFL), a position he held throughout a 13 year career, ultimately ensuring the fitness and body composition needs of various combat deployable Fighter Squadrons and Surface Ships ships were met.
Drawing off of his CFL knowledge, he quickly sought a Personal Trainer certification, attaining the International Sports Sciences Association’s Certified Fitness Trainer. As well, Jonny was on of the first wave of personnel to become a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Coach. With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Jonny went on to attain numerous other certifications in nutrition, functional movement, and corrective exercise, in addition to attaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Sports Psychology.
